Q: What is your treatment philosophy?

A: My treatment philosophy is based on using evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you develop insight and coping skills.

Q: What are evidenced-based practices?

A: Evidence-Based Practice's are heavily researched models of therapy that have been proven to be the most effective in helping people.

    

I am trained in the following Evidenced-Based Practice’s:

 

  • Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Q: Do you take insurance?

A: I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum/UnitedHealthCare, Concern EAP, Lyra Health, ACI Specialty Benefits, Provider Network of America, New Directions Behavioral Health, UMR, and Triwest.

Q: How much do you charge per session?

A: My full rate is $120.  I also offer a discounted sliding scale ($70-$100) for those who qualify.  I accept most credit/debit cards and HSA (Health Savings Account) cards.

Q: How do you meet with clients?

A: I provide telehealth (phone/video) and in-person appointments.  

​

Q: What is your therapeutic style?

A: This depends on the individual/couple in treatment.  I am adaptable and generally like to collaborate with clients in terms of working toward treatment goals.

Q: What if we don't "click?"

A: I can provide you with a free phone consultation.  I would also encourage you to meet with me and see if you feel comfortable.  I will refer you to another clinician if you feel that we are not the right fit.

Q: How fast will I see results?

A: Results are contingent on many factors.  Honesty, accountability and open communication all go a long way in addressing challenges, improving life satisfaction, and enhancing personal development.
